This page explains what Table 29 collects when you use the Loop app, register your interest, apply or become a member, why, where it is kept and how to have it deleted. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

Table 29 is run by Adam. Controller: [CONTROLLER NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS].

Questions or requests: [CONTACT EMAIL].

What we collect

In the Loop app: your email (to send your sign-in code), a first name if you give one, your time zone, your rules (including your food and media diets in your own words), what you tick each day, the day you use your joker, the optional line you write about a day, your reflection at the end of a loop, your evening reminder time and who your partner is.

Asking for a sign-in code makes an account for that email straight away, even if the code is never used; delete it in the app (You → Delete my account). If you sign in with Apple or Google instead, they give us your email address and, if you let them, your name.

Your calendar links, the Loop’s and a member’s: each is a private address with a secret in it, so a calendar app can read it without signing in. Anyone with the address can read that calendar: keep it to yourself.

So the Loop works without a signal, a copy of your loop is kept on your own devices: in the browser, in the phone app, on an Apple Watch and in the home-screen widgets. Signing out clears it from the browser and the phone app; removing the app removes it everywhere.

If you ask the phone app to: your loop’s days in the calendar you choose, and each day’s rules in a list in Reminders. The app writes and reads them on your phone alone; Table 29 never sees your calendar or your reminders.

When you register your interest: your name, your email and, if you give it, a phone number.

When you apply: your name, email, city, what you are building, where you are with your loop (start date, food rule, media rule and what broke, if you share them), an optional Instagram or website link and how you heard about Table 29.

Along with it, the campaign tags in the link you arrived from (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and the address of the site that sent you, without its query string.

To stop spam, your IP address is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP and email is kept for 24 hours to limit repeated submissions.

Visits are counted with Vercel Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.

As a member: your name, what you build, city and link (shown to other members unless you hide yourself from the members’ list); your answers to events, your seat and arrival; and what you choose to write: a guest’s name, who you’d like to sit next to, a problem for the hot seat, asks and offers, and introduction requests. Also the number you record each loop and your goal for the next, your answer to the question after a dinner, the wins you cheer, your requests for an expert’s time and, on a trip, your room and who shares it.

If you pay the membership: Stripe takes the payment on its own page, so your card details never reach Table 29. We keep only whether your year is paid and until when.

Photos taken at the evenings are seen by members only, never published. Ask Adam and any photo of you comes down.

If a member puts you forward: your name and email, and why they think you belong. We use them to invite you to apply once, and only if Adam decides to; ask us and they’re deleted.

If you give them, what you don’t eat and your allergies. Allergies are health information: only you and Adam see them, and only to tell the restaurant before a dinner, without your name.

Who sees what, among members

In the Loop app, only you see your rules’ wording, your daily lines and your reflections. Your partner, if you pair up, sees your first name, your loop day, whether your joker is used, and which rules you ticked today (the names of rules of your own, never the words of your food and media diets). If you apply to Table 29, we check whether a loop was tracked in the app under the same email.

Other members see your profile (unless you hide it), whether you’re coming, your seat on the night, and your asks and offers. They never see your email.

Your loop number and goal are shared with members unless you untick “Share it with the members”; unshared, only you and Adam see them. A win shows how many members cheered it, never who. On a trip, you see your own room and who shares it, nobody else’s.

Only you and Adam see your guest’s name, who you asked to sit next to, your hot seat problem until Adam picks it (then every member sees it, as the page says before you offer it), your introduction requests, your answer after a dinner, your requests for an expert’s time (Adam arranges them with the expert), and your food and allergies.

When you answer an ask or offer, or Adam introduces you, the other member receives your name and email address, so you can write to each other. The page says so before you send.

Why

To tell you when applications open, if you registered your interest. To read and answer your application, to contact you about Table 29 if you are accepted or on the waitlist, and to keep the forms free of spam. For members, to run the table: events, seating, reminders and introductions. The legal basis is your request to apply, your membership, and our legitimate interest in running a members table; for allergies, your consent, which you withdraw by clearing the field.

Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.

Apple Health and Health Connect

If you turn on “Suggest workouts from Health” in The Loop app, the app reads your workouts (their type, length and time) from Apple Health on an iPhone, or exercise sessions from Health Connect on Android, to suggest ticking your workout rule. It reads nothing else, never writes to Health, and never ticks for you. What it reads stays on your phone: it is never sent to Table 29 or anyone else, never used for advertising, and never sold. Turn it off in the app, or in your phone’s Health settings, at any time.

Where it is stored

Everything is stored with Supabase in the European Union ([SUPABASE REGION]). The site is hosted by Vercel. Emails are sent through Resend. Spam checks run through Cloudflare. Payments are handled by Stripe. Each of them processes data only to provide its service to us.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves Switzerland or the EU, it is covered by the providers’ data processing agreements and standard contractual clauses.

How long

Applications are kept for [RETENTION PERIOD] after the last decision on them, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. A member’s data is kept while they are a member; when someone leaves, or asks, Adam deletes their account by hand, and everything about them goes with it. Asks and offers leave the board after 60 days; they are deleted when their author deletes them or the account goes. Your Loop data is kept until you delete your account in the app (You → Delete my account), which removes it at once; how to do it without the app: table29.ch/loop/delete. Rate-limit records are deleted after 24 hours.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how it is used. Email [CONTACT EMAIL] from the address you applied with, and we will answer within 30 days.

You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

The public site sets no tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. The Loop app, the members’ area and the admin area use a strictly necessary sign-in cookie; the Loop app also keeps a copy of your loop on your phone so it works without a signal, removed when you sign out; and a private preview link sets one for the team checking the site before it opens.
